Scratch is blue,
... though only a hue,

Stubborn is the colour of pregnant expectation;

... with brilliant blasts of sunbeams

.. .. .. of autumnal splendor
Stubborn is the colour of doing,
... of perhaps getting things done,
... ... of happy oblivion.
