Day # 18 Winter Afternoon

Occasional sun,
and above zero.

What to do?
Go down to the Fieldhouse,
of course.

Will it have blown over
in the last storm?

Will it have been vandalized?

Set on fire?

Nope.
None of those.

Open the door
and be greeted by
my Froggy Slippers,
loyal and waiting patiently.

Build a fire.

Take Benny for a walk.

Set up the neighbours'
hockey stick bench,
blown over again
from the winter winds.

January 13th,

no snow,

but found colour

in spite of a brown world.

Winter sun

...

in Spring-like weather

...

Time to return home.

Hi!

If you haven't been in the Fieldhouse for a little while, then it was ME who faced the eyes towards the door. ME and Trent went down - we had to research the Cedar Trees to check the Tree Snail count, and analyze the colour depth of the berries! Trent loves it there even on the rainy day that it was.

I would like to know the steps on building a fire there. I plan on taking a friend there to check it out, and I would like to know how to make a fire.

Anyway, I better get back to the listings!

PS: As for fire-building steps, I didn't mean:
1. Light match.
2. Burn wood.

I just meant any special instructions about the flue or anything like that. I want a fire, but burning down the Fieldhouse isn't what I have in mind!

:)
